In order to get your desires fulfilled by the people who have the power to do that, you should give them what they actually long for -- not what you long for, nor what you wish they would long for. This is always true, of course, but it's especially applicable to what's going on in your life right now.

It should not be a practical necessity or consumer fetish, but rather a provocative tool or toy.
